More often than not, the stories we read in newspapers about substance and alcohol abuse are covering the results and devastation that stem from lack of treatment. Traffic fatalities, DUII arrests and the tragic stories of domestic and child abuse make headlines more than reports on the success of treatment and recovery programs.
